Soludo urges political office holders to resist temptation of stealing public funds

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has warned political office holders against stealing public funds.

He tasked them on judicious use of such funds for the good of the masses.

Soludo spoke at the thanksgiving service of the member representing Orumba North and South Federal Constituency, Princess Chinwe Clara Nnabuife, at St Paulโ€™s Church, Umunze.

While welcoming her into the All-Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) party, the Governor noted that it is the time given to Princess Nnabuife by God to deliver service to the masses, assuring of synergizing with her for the good of the people.

The Governor further commended religious organizations’ efforts over years, stressing that everyone has a role to play to ensure even development of the society.

“As a government, my administration will continue to prioritize interventions in all sectors of the state economy,” he added.

Earlier in his sermon, Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese, Rt Rev Samuel Ezeofor praised the Governor for his numerous achievements since he assumed office.

He noted that God has given everyone new life in Christ by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Princess Nnabuife thanked God for delivering her mandate and disclosed that her political journey started in 2018, stating that Governor Soludoโ€™s uncommon leadership style was instrumental to her mandate recovery.

Among dignitaries that attended the occasion were former Deputy Governor of the State Mr Emeka Sibudu, Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Foster Ihejiofor, Chairman, Anambra State Urban Regeneration Council, Arch Mike Okonkwo, Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, Transition Committee Chairman of Orumba North Council area, Sir Ogochukwu Ekwueme, and his Orumba South counterpart, Prince Neville Uchendu.
