Tinubu, Ganduje, Govs, others storm Anambra for APC colloquium, empowerment rally

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje would be in Nnewi, Anambra State on Saturday for a mega empowerment rally at Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium.

A statement by the media office of the party disclosed that the rally would be preceded by (APC) 2024 colloquium on Friday.

Both events, according to the statement which would be powered by the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Dr Ifeanyi Ubah are meant to enrich the minds of the party members, the people of Anambra South and Ndị Igbo in general with a lecture on ‘De-Marginalization of the South East and Integration to National Politics’.

The lecture, the statement said, would be delivered at Anaedo Hall Nnewi on Friday March 22, 2024, by the Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof Charles Esimone.

“Both events will afford the leadership of the party at National and State levels the opportunity to interact with the people of Anambra South Senatorial District, and Anambra people as well as enable the Presidency and the party’s hierarchy to witness the only elected official of the party in the state, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah’s empowerment programme.

“Others personalities expected at the event are the South East leader of the APC, Chairman of South-East Governors Forum and the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma as well as the Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru as guests of honour, among others,” the statement added.

Speaking briefly on the scheduled events, Ubah said that integrating Ndị Igbo to national politics had become expedient.

He appreciated the leadership of his party for supporting the idea, stressing that the empowerment programme was part of his legislative activities aimed at developing young talents and supporting the people of his Senatorial District to achieve their ambitions in life.
