…Warns Perpetrators of Dire Consequences

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has vowed to stop all forms of insecurity in the Southeast if not the entire South, in two minutes, if released from detention.

The IPOB leader who said that IPOB is only fighting for freedom, justice, equity and fairness warned anyone engaging in kidnapping, stealing and other forms of criminality to desist or face stiffer consequences.

Continuing, he however alleged that the illegalities may be encouraged and perpetrated by some people in government who may be benefiting from the insecurity in the southeast.

“This rubbish is happening because I am in DSS custody” he said. “Give me two minutes outside and you will see peace return to the southeast if not the whole of the South. Who is he that will talk when Nnamdi Kanu is talking.

“Some people in government are making money from the insecurity happening in the Southeast. They’re sponsoring the #bloodbath. Anyone responsible for the insecurity and killing must be dealt with. You can’t be killing our people and say you’re fighting for Biafra”

Kanu made the statements when he appeared before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court Abuja, Tuesday, March 19.

The court denied him bail but, however, ordered accelerated hearing of the case bordering on treasonable felony. Kanu has been in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) since his arrest in June 2021.
