Again, Court Denies Nnamdi Kanu Bail

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Tuesday, rejected the bail application by the embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

The trial judge, Justice Binta Nyako, instead ordered an accelerated hearing of Kanu’s case bordering on treasonable felony.

While reacting to the ruling, counsel to the separatist leader, Alloy Ejimakor expressed his displeasure over the bail application denial.

He noted that they can not go on with the proceedings if they have not been given any opportunity to speak with their client.

“It has been very difficult to have a meeting with Mr Kanu in the custody of the DSS, as their conversation with him, is always been monitored and Mr Kanu is still wearing the same outfit which the court ordered to be changed”, Ejimakor said.
