Senator Umeh Appointed Member of Pan-African Parliament

The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Victor Umeh has been appointed a member of the Pan-African Parliament by the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio.

Umeh who is also the Chairman, Senate Committee on Diaspora and NGOs, and Vice Chairman, Senate Committee on Land, Housing and Urban Development, received notice of his nomination as Member of the Standing Delegation of Nigerian Parliaments to the Pan-African Parliament on February 7th 2024.

The Pan-African Parliament located in Midran, South Africa has up to 275 members representing the 55 African Union—AU Member States that have ratified the Protocol establishing it (five members from each Member State).

Ohamadike Ndigbo, as he is fondly addressed, will serve in this capacity for the duration of his tenure in the 10th National Assembly.
