Unity Bank Floats Grants for Corps Members in Anambra

The Unity Bank has revealed that Corps Members at NYSC Anambra Orientation Camp, on the Unity Bank Corpreneurship challenge, would be exposed to competitions which would make winners grab cash and consolation prizes.

The bank Representative, Odiegwu Noyelum who dropped the hint on Thursday said the challenge was aimed at empowering Corps Members by developing their entrepreneurship capabilities within one year.

She stressed that to participate, Corps Members are expected to signify interest, register and send in their business plans following the template provided upon registration.

She also stated that selection process would be carried out and the top 10 business plans will be selected for evaluation.

“These plans will be appraised and a pitch will be made to defend their business plans before the judges.

“The best 3 plans, will win the following prizes; #800,000, #500,000 and #300,000 respectively. While the other 7 business plans will get consolation prizes,” she added.

According to Noyelum, the final evaluation which woud happen in 4 days from February 22, will be held at the Corps Members’ orientation camps and the winners will get their prizes that day.

“It is not a loan but a grant. Therefore, Corps Members who win these prizes are not expected to pay back any sum to Unity Bank and all Corps Members are eligible,” the representative stressed.
