Anambra Government Set to Renovate, Digitalize Onitsha Divisional Library

Anambra State government has disclosed plans to renovate and transform the Onitsha Divisional Library to a smart library.

Commissioner for Education, Prof Ngozi Chuma-Udeh made the revelation when she paid an unscheduled visit to the library.

She charged the Librarian and staff to hold forth and come up with ideas that would provide what it would take to realize the needed transformation agenda.

She also announced the donation
of 10,000 books to the Library from Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

The Librarian in charge of the facility, Mrs Juliet Enemuo later conducted Commissioner Chuma-Udeh round facilities in the Library.

She requested for Commissioner’s assistance for the relocation of the waste collections constituting nuisance in the area.

The Commissioner had earlier visited the Divisional Police Officer of Onitsha, CSP Garuba Rabiu, in company with the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, Mr Nnaemeka Egwuonwu, her Special Assistant, Mr Azubike Egotanwa.
