Soludo, Agbu, Nnamani, Uba, others hail Emeka Offor’s philanthropy at 65

It was who is who in Oraifite, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State for the celebration of 65th birthday anniversary of Sir Emeka Offor, founder of the Sir Emeka Offor Foundation.

Governor Chukwuma Soludo, Taraba State governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, represented by his Chief of Staff, Jeji Williams, former Senate President, Dr Ken Nnamani and Senator Representing Nnewi North and South, Dr Ifeanyi Ubah were among the dignitaries at the ceremony.

Congratulating the celebrant on his special day, Soludo described him as distinguished son of Anambra state, accomplished businessman, man of ideas and renowned philanthropist.

He lauded his remarkable achievements in the oil and gas sector, visionary leadership in building a diversified business empire, as well as dedication to giving back to society through numerous philanthropic initiatives.

He said, “The man we’re celebrating today is a shining example of entrepreneurial excellence and a dogged businessman who is committed to the progress and development of Anambra State and Nigeria.

“Sir Emeka Offor’s life story is an inspiration to all aspiring entrepreneurs and young people across Nigeria.

“His hard work, resilience, and strategic vision have not only propelled him to the pinnacle of business success but have also created countless jobs and empowered many within the State and across the country.”

The governor further highlighted Sir Offor’s magnanimous spirit in establishing the Sir Emeka Offor Foundation, which has touched the lives of millions through its focus on education, healthcare, and capacity building.

“We are immensely happy as we celebrate a man and his idea who has chosen to celebrate his birthday in Anambra State with thousands of widows, students and the vulnerable.”Soludo further stated.

Soludo also commended Sir Offor for his commitment to uplifting lives, stating, “It’s not how long you live but how well. Sir Emeka Offor has demonstrated this essence of life.”

He highlighted Sir Offor’s choice to celebrate in Anambra as a testament to the state’s progress and his dedication to supporting students, the widows and vulnerable.

While praying God for longer life of 120years and good health, Soludo promised the celebrant a state birthday in Awka, the state capital when he clocked 70.

Also speaking, Senator Nnamani praised the celebrant for his several decades of benevolence, especially in education, health and other sectors.

He prayed for God’s manifold blessings, good health and long life.

Responding, Emeka Offor appreciated all that graced his birthday, just as he appealed to Nigerians to show love compassion to widows, vulnerable and downtrodden.

Describing his generosity as divine, Offor promised continuous assistance and support to the less privileged.

“The vision of Sir Emeka Offor Foundation is to reduce poverty, create life-improving economic opportunities, deliver healthcare services, implement youth empowerment programs, and contribute to infrastructural development.

“Because this project is what God wants, I’ll continue to do more. You don’t need to have so much to put smiles in people’s faces,” he added.

The occasion witnessed the distribution of 40,000 bags of rice to widows from 179 communities and educational materials to schools across the state by the foundation.

Other dignitaries at the event were Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly Rt Hon Somtochukwu Udeze, National Chairman APGA Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, Secretary to the State Government Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, Chief of Staff to the Governor Mr Ernest Ezeajughi, Principal Secretary to the Governor JPC Anetoh, Chief of Protocol Chinedu Nwoye Glamour.

Acting Vice Chancellor COOU, Prof. Kate Omenugha, Vice Chancellor Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Prof. Charles Esimone, CEO Innoson Motors Chief Innocent Chukwuma, Senators, Ministers, Federal and State Legislators, Members of Anambra State Executive Council, Transition Committee Chairmen, Traditional and Religious leaders also graced the event.
