It was celebration galore at the weekend at Amaegwene village, Nando in Anambra East Local government area of Anambra State following official commissioning of water borehole project attracted by the member representing Anambra East/West Federal Constituency at the Green Chambers of the National Assembly, Hon. Peter Aniekwe.
Aniekwe who demonstrated an exemplary humility by drinking water from the commissioned borehole water in public to confirm that it was of high quality standard and safe for drinking, also revealed that similar water facility built at Inoma in Anambra West LGA would also be commissioned and handed over to community for use.
The lawmaker fondly called, MCPEE by his peers, also disclosed that aside the water projects, he had earlier distributed relief materials to his constituents and equally empowered those living with disabilities.
He promised to continue to attract dividends of democracy to his constituency and to provide quality representation.
He also urged community stakeholders to put in place measures that will ensure good use of the facility for the benefit of residents as well as regular maintainance of the borehole.
Earlier, the President General (PG) of Nando community, Chief Nkechikwulu Nwakor and other dignitaries who also drank the water, expressed appreciation for the high quality as well as what Aniekwe had done in less than one year in office.
They described his performance as unprecedented and prayed God to bless him.
