Nwoye Silences Critics, Storm Soludo’s Father’s Burial

Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District, Sen. Dr. Tony Nwoye last Saturday joined host of dignitaries to bid farewell to Late Pa Simeon Soludo, father of Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo.

Nwoye had earlier extended his heartfelt condolences to Soludo on the passing of his father, Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo (Ichie Akukananwa 1) who died at the age of 92 years old.

In a condolence message, the lawmaker described the late nonagenarian as a “humble, generous, disciplined and God-fearing man”.

He said: “Today I am here to commiserate with the family of Soludo of Umueze Isuofia. I am profoundly touched by the passing of your dearly beloved father and patriarch, Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo. I join the entire family and Ndi Anambra in mourning him.

“Words cannot express my grief over the demise of this great man. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Governor and all members of Soludo family and Isuofia Community at this difficult time.

“While extending my condolences for this irreparable loss, I pray to Almighty God to grant his soul peaceful repose; comfort members of Soludo family as they all strive to keep alive the salutary values which Late Pa Simeon embodied”.

Among dignitaries that graced the occasion included Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti, Senator Victor Umeh, Senator Ifeanyi Uba, Acting Vice-Chancellor of Chkwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu University, Prof. Mrs Kate Omenugha and many others.
