The Special Adviser to Anambra State Governor on Political Matters, Dr Alex Obiogbolu has expressed shock over the demise of the first Civilian Governor of the state, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife (CON) popularly know as Okwadike.

He said that the organization, Anambra State Rural Development Authourity (ARDA) executed programmes in rural water schemes, provision of feeder roads that made hirtherto unreachable communities accessible and supported the rural electrification project of the Federal Government.

“I learnt a lot from Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife (Okwadike) and proudly so. I learnt selflessness and fiscal responsibility from him. He actually became a father figure to me over the years. I shall for ever cherish and value his fatherly advice,” he said.

Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife(CON) was a former Federal Permanent Secretary, the first Executive Governor of Anambra State, a former Political Adviser to the President and former Presidential Aspirant.

The former Governor who died on Thursday, 14th December 2023 will be remembered for the vital role he played in the emergence of M.K.O Abiola on the second ballot of the Presidential primaries of the SDP.
