Ohaneze Youths Pay Tribute to Governor Ezeife, His Impactful Legacies in Anambra

Ohaneze Ndigbo Youths have extolled outstanding legacies of late former Governor of Anambra State, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife, who passed on to eternal glory on Thursday, December 14, 2023.

The family, in a statement signed by Chief Rob Nwakaire Ezeife, Ezeife died at the Federal Medical Centre, Abuja at the age of 85, after an undisclosed sickness.

Acting National Leader of the Ohaneze Ndigbo Youths, Mazi Chukwuma Okpalaezeukwu, in a statement on Friday, described the octagenarian as a renowned leader of repute, while his death was a great loss to the entire Igbo nation.

He said the late collossus stood so tall, active, protesting, projecting and promoting Alaigbo until his demise.

The statement party read; “We join Ndigbo and all friends of the nation globally to mourn the demise of this great son of Igboland, His Excellency, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife, Okwadike Ndigbo, former Governor of Anambra State, former Presidential Adviser, former Permanent Secretary in the first republic.

“The late collossus has paid his dues for the emancipation, development and stability of Alaigbo.

“Up until his demise, he stood so tall, active, protesting, projecting and promoting Alaigbo.

“We join his family to mourn him and we commiserate with them and pray that God will grant us all the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”

According to Okpalaezeukwu, late Okwadike lived an accomplished life, free of blames and regrets, but filled with impact and legacies.

“Dr Ezeife lived a life of service and until his death, was renowned for his outspokenness in the defense of equity, fairness and justice in Nigeria.

“His ideology of investing in the future, as the First Executive Governor of Anambra State, stands him out as a visionary, who believes in the ability of the coming generation.

“He was indeed a great leader and Alaigbo has once again, lost a gem,” he concluded.
