Women group canvasses govt partnership on skill acquisition, empowerment

A women group, Noble Ladies Int’l has expressed her preparedness to partner with government, ministries, agencies, private corporations towards procurement of skill acquisition and empowerment of members.

The founder of the women group, Mrs Ebere Mbanefo Akam stated this during the end of the year get together which held at Prompters Social Club Hall, Utuh, Nnewi South LGA of Anambra State.

She said that the group is in dire need so that they can continue to effectively carry on with the group’s core missions.

“In Noble Ladies Int’l, we give women a voice and a stage to speak and act; not only to be heard but also to be seen Train a woman and you train a nation; so the saying goes. We engage in trainings, seminars and etiquettes for a better lady that is equiped to function optimally in today’s society,” she said.

Mrs Akam said that her group is passionately committed to raising ladies of mobility to impart on the lives of fellow women and also carry out charity programs for the less privileged women and motherless babies.

“We encourage our members to respect their own husbands so that the peace of the family will not be compromised, you will agree with me that the peace of the larger society starts from the home front.

“Our members participated in the last election and I am proud to let you know that our candidates won, women are critical stakeholders in the society and we must play active roles in who becomes the political office holders.

“We are still very young, this is the second get together we are doing, we have branches at Nnewi North and South LGAs at the moment but we wish to expand to the entire state and Consequently the whole country,” she said.

Chinenye Joy Ayasa and Lady Oge Efobi chairlady of the group and the end of the year get together organizing committee chairperson respectively in separate speeches appreciated the individuals and organisations that are supportive of Noble Ladies International.
