Relief as Senator Nwoye Leads Fed. Ministry of Works, FERMA Officials to Onitsha – Adani Expressway

The Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial zone at the National Assembly, Dr Tony Nwoye on Monday led officials of the Federal Ministry of Works and Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) through the Onitsha-33-Nkwelle-Umueri-Aguleri-Omor-Adanni expressway for spot assessment of the road.

The excercise, was Nwoye’s latest effort to bring the attention of federal government to the plight of road users in his Senatorial zone.
Speaking after the exercise, the lawmaker, expressed the need for federal government to quickly intervene on the road.

Nwoye was quoted as saying: “the road has totally collapsed and impassable as at today. No Vehicle applies the road and this has cut off many rural communities and farmers from bringing their farm produce to the market.

Recall that Senator Nwoye had earlier in July 2023, moved a motion on the floor of the red chamber, demanding for urgent federal government intervention on the road and also sent letters of appeals/request to the federal ministry of Works for their own input.
