The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has described Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo as a true Nigerian.

He said Soludo has tried to live his life as a true Nigerian ambassador, representing the country in both character and attire.

Speaking during a visit to the Governor at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia, the Monarch, eulogized Soludo’s glorious days at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) which eventually gave rise to consolidation of banks in the country.

He encouraged the Governor to continue his selfless service to Anambra in particular and Nigeria at large.

Recieving the Monarch, Soludo described him as the most travelled king and encouraged him to keep being the bridge builder.

He said the likes of the Ooni was needed for national healing, especially at such critical challenging time of Nigeria’s nationhood.

He said, “Now that a President had been elected, Nigerians owe him a duty to support him. The traditional institution, being a stable entity, is the needed building block to help salvage the nation.

“The traditional institution provides the balancing force for the country, especially if everyone bond together.

“There is increased need for more national leaders who see everyone as one people and the country as one entity, to ensure stability for the nation.”

The monarch, who had some kings in his entourage later presented a symbolic gift of bronze carving to the Governor, which had the image of a hunter, standing on the rock.
