Soludo Fires Warning Shot: No Obscenities, Ego Fanning at My Father’s Burial

Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has disclosed that his late father, Pa Simeon Nwankwo would be accorded a decent burial devoid of obscenities.

He added that the burial would be in strict compliance with the Anambra burial laws, stressing that there would be no fanning of ego.

The Governor spoke after receiving a condolence letter from members of the State Executive Council (ANSEC), delivered by the Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim and the Secretary to the State Government, Prof Solo Chukwulobelu.

While paying a glowing tribute to his late father who passed away on November 6, 2023, Soludo described him as a great father who lived a befitting life.

He thanked members of ANSEC for their thoughtfulness and solidarity at this difficult moments.

“The symbolic coincidence of my father’s death is that he died at about 7:45am on Monday, November 6, 2023 which coincided with the anniversary of my election

“My father lived a befitting life and will be accorded a decent burial devoid of obscenities. The burial will be in strict compliance with the Anambra burial laws. No fanning of ego!” he added.

The Governor however promised to issue a formal statement in regards to the burial arrangements.
