Harmattan Season: Anambra Fire Service Assures Residents of Prompt Response to Fire Incidents

Anambra State Fire Service has reassured its preparedness for fire outbreaks ahead of the dry and harmattan seasons.

Fire Chief, Engr. Dr. Martin Agbili disclosed this while taking delivery of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) donated to firefighters by state government.

He listed the equipment to include fire suit, coverall, crash helmet, fire safety boot and hand gloves.

He also announced the governor’s promise of more good things, adding that all fire trucks in the State were undergoing routine servicing in readiness for the dry season.

He said, “In preparation for the firefighting operations in Anambra State, all Firefighters in the State were issued with complete PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE).

“The equipment included fire suit, coverall, crash helmet, fire safety boot and hand gloves which were procured by Mr. Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo through Mr. Commissioner of Power and Water Resources, Engr. Julius Chukwuemeka.

“Firefighters are well equipped now as they are getting ready for the battle ahead in dry season.

“Mr. Governor has also promised us of more good things to come, for us to be combatant ready at all time. As it stands, all fire trucks in the State are undergoing routine servicing as directed by Mr. Governor in readiness for the dry season.

“I want to use this medium to reassure Ndi Anambra that we will continue to give our best to them with these supports from Mr. Governor.”
