The African Director of International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) Amb. Chief Dr. Johnny Metchie has commensurated with Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo over the death of his father, late Chief Simeon Nwankwo Soludo.
Metchie, in a condolence message urged the governor and other members of the Soludo family tree to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude and find solace in the legacy his father left behind.
The Peace Ambassador who is also the President-General of Umueri Community in Anambra-East Local Government Area, observed that the passing on of late Chief Simeon Nwankwo Soludo has left a big vacuum in the family.
He urged the governor and his siblings to be strong as their late patriarch has gone to join the Saints in Heaven.
“I call on Ndi-Anambra to rally round the governor and the entire Soludo family to give them the necessary moral and emotional support they need to pull through the realities of the departure of their hero, Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo, who successfully completed his sojourn on Earth at the golden age of 92 years,” he said.
Describing the governor’s father death as didactic, Metchie stressed the need for today’s parents to train up their children and wards in accordance with acceptable norms of the society, so when they grow up they will never depart from it as evident in the life and times of late Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo, who raised a State Governor out of his children.
” While I commiserate with Governor Soludo over death of his father, it is equally important to state that people should live for humanity so that when they leave the surface of the earth, they would be remembered and celebrated for their good deeds just as the governor’s father is being eulogized for being a positive influence on many lives.
“It is a great loss no doubt but we can not question God because He gives and He takes when it pleases Him. Death is a natural end for all mortals.
“I sympathize with the governor and members of the Soludo family as Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo transits to eternal glory. May his soul rest in the bosom of the Lord. Amen,” he added.
