Founder and Leader, City of Salvation International Ministries, Onitsha, Anambra state, Prophet Ikenna Ofodile, has predicted that 2024 would be a peaceful and prosperous year for Nigeria, urging citizens to be patient with the Federal government.

Ofodile who stated this shortly after receiving an award from National Vice President, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) South East zone, Comrade Emma Ifesinachi assured that the nation would witness development and progress in all spheres of life.

He said the insecurity, economic hardship, high cost of living, corruption, unemployment and other challenges confronting the country would surely come under control with time.

The cleric who acknowledged the presence of bad eggs within the society who, he regretted contributed in denting nation’s image of Nigeria locally and internationally, counselled the citizenry not to give up.

“A mother who gave birth to a bad child can’t throw away the child, but rather she will continue to nurture him or her for a better change in life,” he stated.

While calling on leaders, especially politicians to always show good examples by doing the right things and improving lives of the masses, Ofodile warned against discrimination, subjugation and acts of injustice against anyone.

“We are praying to God for better Nigeria, praying for changes in character, attitude and behaviour towards one another, no matter where you come from.

“We pray that God speaks and touched our community and political leaders to show concern, plan for a better Nigeria as well as peaceful environment.

“2024, everybody should be prepared for it. Even though things won’t come easy, we are hoping for the best in 2024. I believe it will be a better year for all.

“Youths have lost hope in the family, churches, leaders and the country. We should help to rebuild their lives. We should start from our homes to educate
them, things will be better,” he added.
