The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) has sensitised some members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on the gains of embracing its ‘Export for Survival’ campaign.The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the sensitisation took place at the NYSC orientation camp in Eziama Obaire, Nkwerre council area of Imo on Friday.
The NEPC Coordinator in Imo, Mr Anthony Ajuruchi, while addressing the corps members, said the sensitisation became necessary to expose the corps members to opportunities available for them in the non-oil exports sector.He enjoined them to think export as another means of survival after their service year as youths with great potential in entrepreneurial and economic development of the nation’s economy.“ Nigerian youths have the energy, physical and mental capacity to pursue entrepreneurial activities with a view to production for export and economic growth.
“ This is why we are advising them to take advantage of the NEPC’s ‘Export for Survival’ campaign and key in to the opportunities for self development therein “, he said.One of the corps members, Mr Yusuf Danladi, thanked the NEPC for the opportunity and exposure and pledged commitment to self development available in the council’s platform.
