Anambra State Police Commissioner, Aderemi Adeoye has vowed to clamp down on cultists running amok in Awka, the state capital.

He described the cultists as murderers while those sponsoring them to kill humans like them are cowards who should cover their faces in shame.

He maintained that cultists were not fit to live among decent human beings in the society, warning that no one should call him for release of those arrested during clamp down unless they chose to be disgraced.

He said, “The Police Command will come down very hard on the heartless cultists who take pleasure in killing people.

“I have ordered an all out operation against cultists and their sponsors in the State and no one should call me for release of any cultist arrested in the coming clamp down unless they want to be disgraced.”

While assuring the people of the State that their peace and tranquility punctured by the recent cult-related killing in the capital would soon be restored, Adeoye solicited cooperation of all law abiding citizens in ridding the society of menace of cultism.
