A Shari’a Court sitting in Kano on Thursday, remanded a 58-year-old man, Ashiru Uba, in a Correctional Center for allegedly stealing flush 10 doors worth N800,000.
The Presiding Judge, Malam Nura Yusuf-Ahmad, remanded Uba after he pleaded pleaded guilty to a charge of stealing.He adjourned the case until Sept. 15 for facts and sentence.Earlier, the Prosecutor, Mr Aliyu Abideen told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Aug. 20 at Yalwa Quarters, Kano.
He Abideen said that the defendant broke into the shop of the complainant, Aminu Abdullahi s and stole the 10 flush doors.Abideen said the offence contravened Section 133 of Kano State Shari’a Penal Code.(NAN)
