Long vocation: Educationist tasks parents on home coaching

Mr Ismail Alkas, an Educationist and Director, Jimeta Academy, Adamawa, has advised parents to continue coaching their children at home during long vocation.Alkas made gave the advice at the fifth speech and prize giving day organised by the school on Saturday. He said this would help them not to forget what they learned in school and it would improve on their skills to be successful.

According to him, this will also guard the students not to mingle with bad friends that may destroy their future.
He added that the school also trains students in skills acquisition, such as catering, tailoring, shoe and liquid soap making, among other trades.

Alhaji Salisu Maigishiri, the Proprietor said, the aimed of the occasion was to showcase the talent of students and encourage those that were not doing well to improve.

He said that the school is doing educating students to complement government effort in education development in the state and county at large.

He also called on parents to always check on their children’s performance and to cooperate with the school for the benefit of their wards.

Mr Sanamo Beto, who spoke on behalf of parents, appreciated the effort of teachers and contribution on their children.

He advised the school management to have Parents Teachers Association (PTA) so as to have synergy between parents and teachers for the growth of the school as well as success of the students. (NAN)
