Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Aderemi Adeoye has reassured officers in the state that their welfare would remain paramount to the leadership of the Force.
Adeoye gave the assurance on Wednesday while visiting two police operatives who sustained injuries during a Joint Security Force onslaught against insurgents in a criminal camp at Orsumoghu in Ihiala Local Government Area of the state.
Five soldiers and two police officers reportedly sustained varying degrees of injury from IEDs detonated by the criminals during the incident.
The CP explained that the visit was targeted at boosting the officers’ morale while discharging their duties at their various domains.
While presenting cash donations to the officers, Adeoye prayed for their quick recovery, just as he assured them that the Police would not abandon or leave them behind.
He said, “The visit is to boost the morale of Officers while discharging their duties with the assurance that their welfare is of paramount importance to the leadership of the Force.
“We also assure the good people of Anambra that the command is more determined than ever to flush out the miscreants in the state.
“We are also committed to making the entire state safer for law-abiding citizens to go about their lawful businesses.”
