The Founder and chairperson of Ikenga Abiama Dynasty Foundation, HRM Ambassador Dr. Uba Iwunwa (Queen Ugobeze) has restated her commitment to humanitarian services and philanthropy both in her home country, Nigeria and globally.
Dr. Uba, a Nine-time Honorary Doctorate Award recipient in Diplomacy, Philosophy, Peace and Human Rights, made the pledge following a successful re-branding of her pet project- Ikenga Abiama Humanitarian Foundation, which she floated to enable her fulfil her desire of humanitarian services and philanthropy.
The World Peace Diplomatic Ambassador of Canada said in a statement issued over the weekend through the foundation’s media and communication officer, Ambassador Olisemeka Obeche that the successful rebranding and repositioning of the foundation has provided her with a new fillip to deliver humanitarian services and philanthropy unhindered.
“First of all, I wish to thank God for seeing me through in this exercise. We started this project under Ikenga Abiama Humanitarian Assembly Abiriba (IAHAA) with Dr. Felix Ndukwe as the founding chairman but things did not work out the way we planned it and I decided to move on, and the successful registration of Ikenga Abiama Dynasty Foundation with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) to carry on with the original mandate has become a major turning point for me.
“To this end, I wish to also say a big ‘Thank-you’ to all those who worked behind the scene to make it happen, and those who had stood behind me and my initiatives, believing in me, and encouraging me through the darkest moments. I remain eternally grateful for your wonderful support”, the Royal Empress of Peace said.
Uba further revealed that Ikenga Abiama Dynasty Foundation is expected to be the foremost not-for-profit organization working to uplift and unite African people and royal Kingdoms through charity, and creative arts designed to promote Igbo and African cultural heritage globally.
“We want to render humanitarian assistance to the vulnerable people in the society especially the handicapped, aged, widow/widowers, less privileged children and youths through welfare packages, training, empowerment and exposure to life-changing innovations and jobs”, she said.
