Group Issues Condition for Supporting Soludo’s Second Term Bid

A political group, Soludo Support Group (SSG) have disclosed its preparedness to deliver Governor Chukuma Soludo for a second tenure.
Members of the group who were Soludo’s foot soldiers during the 2021 governorship election however said they would work for him only if they were remembered and appreciated for their efforts in the last election.
The youths made their position known in a fora in Awka capital territory where the SSG members drawn from the 21 local government areas of the State met to evaluate their activities and review their strategies for the task ahead.
They said they came together in accord, to once again affirm their readiness to support the government of Prof. Charles Soludo but appealed to the Governor for full appreciation of their efforts in the last election and also be made part of governance.
Anchored by the SSG national youths leader, Dr Charles Ebulue, the summit which x-rayed the major concerns of the SSG youths as well as provided possible routes to panacea, was a huge success.
In his words of encouragement, the SSG national deputy coordinator, Chief Chigozie Awugosi praised the SSG youth leaders, for their renewed spirit and enjoined them to be patient, assuring that it would get better soon both for their collective concern, and that of SSG as a body.
The group’s national coordinator, Hon. Arinzechukwu Awogu commended the youth leaders for all their efforts prior to the election, and their continued patience as well as renewed dedication and commitment to the SSG project. He assured the youths that the better days for smiles, were already around the corner.
He, among other things, urged them to take, what he described as the message of new hope from the new SSG leadership to the grassroots.
Dr Ebulue on his part thanked the youth body for the renewed hope and for heeding to the advice to continue to remain loyal to Governor Soludo’s administration.
He pledged his readiness to rejig the SSG youths proactive mechanism to key into the policies of the SSG new leadership.
“The essence of the meeting is to galvanize the youth in Anambra State and to inculcate in them the need to support the governement of Professor Charles Soludo to encourage him to continue to deliver the dividends of democracy in Anambra.
“It is to engage the leadership of Soludo Support Group who had contributed towards the success of the election and who will continue to support Governor Soludo’s administration.
“What we’re doing is to water the ground for the task ahead because the job ahead is not an easy one. With adequate motivation, the youths are ever ready to work ahead, ” he said.
Ebulue noted that there were programmes fashioned to benefit the youths but added that the leadership of the SSG is clamouring to be more engaged to serve as a catalyst for future actions.
He said they were calling for governement attention to be part and parcel of the administration having worked assiduously in the past two years to enthrone the leadership of Governor Soludo.
