Our Saviour’s Anglican Church, Awka, Anambra State will on Thursday hold a special edition of the 2023 Church Missionary Society (CMS) Anniversary of the Anglican Communion.
The Chairman, Planning Committee, Mr. Godson Okafor said the annual event, scheduled to hold at the church premises would feature lecturers on CMS during the midweek service on Wednesday.
He further disclosed that special gifts would be given to twins and those their birthdays fell same day as ways to make the day remarkable.
He said, “The event proper will witness drama, quiz competitions for children and youths, cutting of anniversary cake, dancing, other side attractions as well as eating and winning by members of the congregation.
“We’re going to present special gifts to twins to remind all of us that they might not have been alive if not for Christianity that was brought to us through the CMS.”
The Vicar of the church, Rev. Azubuike Mgbike assured parishioners of a memorable time in God’s presence, enjoining them to invite their families members, friends and well-wishers to join in the celebration.
