Romanus Ejikeme, father of embattled Mmesoma, found guilty of forging her Unified Matriculation Tetiary Education (UMTE) result has tendered unreserved apologies to Nigerians and the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
Ejikeme had accused the exam body of framing her daughter up, insisting that her daughter who he described as extra brilliant could not be lying with her result.
But in a short reaction in an apparent cold mood, Romanus admitted that his daughter lied.
He regretted all his actions based on the deliberate misrepresentation of facts by her daughter, saying her daughter delayed in telling her the exact truth.
“My daughter didn’t open up to me on time. When I realized what she did, I regretted all my earlier actions on this matter.
“I apologize to Nigerians and JAMB. I still beg JAMB and Nigerians to pardon her.”
