A man, identified as Chukwunaeme Anulobi has been arrested for allegedly beating his pregnant spouse to coma in Aguluezechukwu, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The victim, a native of Ozalla village in Isuofia, also in the same Council Area reportedly reside with her supposed spouse responsible for the pregnancy.
Anambra Daily gathered that the victim was compelled to relocate to Aguluezechukwu to stay with the supposed spouse after she was chased out of the house by her family members for getting pregnant outside wedlock.
A viral video showed the battered victim rolling on the ground and struggling to survive after being beaten to stupor by the alleged impregnator
The voice of the man behind the video of the incident, revealed that the culprit had severally manhandled the pregnant spouse since she came to live with him.
โI have always asked why she came to live with somebody who is not her husband, and they said that her family members chased her out of the house to go and live with the person who impregnated her.
“Ever since she came here, she has always suffered different kinds of maltreatments and molestations from the hand of this man who did this to her,โ the voice narrated in Igbo language.
Describing the act as wickedness and manโs inhumanity to man, the video recorder called on victim’s family members and entire people of Ozalla Isuofia to come for their daughter before she died in the hands of the supposed spouse.

The suspect, briefly captured in the video, was seen attempting to stop the video recorder from exposing him, but was met with resistance by the videographer.
The suspect, a stammerer, was also heard alleging that the video recorder and other neighbors had never intervened when he had issues with people, only to videotape him while beating his pregnant spouse.
Reacting, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Mrs Ify Obinabo said the suspect has been arrested, vowing that he would prosecuted.
Anambra Daily further gathered that the victim had pleaded the suspect be forgiven, saying she was still in love with him.
