ATASP-1 Achieves another Milestone irrigation Pumping Machine and Parts Reach Ifite-Ogwurai Station (PICTURES)

The Agricultural Transformation Agenda Support Program Phase One (ATASP-1), Adani-Omor Zone has achieved a significant milestone in its quest to revive the moribund Lower Anambra Irrigation Project (LAIP) following the successful delivery of the first truckloads of newly imported irrigation pumping machine and its parts at the Ifite-Ogwuari pumping Station in Ayamelum Local Government Area of Anambra State on Friday, May 19, 2023.
The Zonal Program Coordinator, Mr Romanus Egba and other staff of Adani Omor Zone was at the base station to witness the offloading of the pumps.
Engr. C.S. Okonkwo of the Diyoke Consulting Ltd, was also on ground to inspect the shipment as well as the General Manager of the Raycon Nigeria Ltd.
Egba disclosed that seven truckloads of containers of the irrigation pumps and machine parts for the pump was delivered at the station. The elated ZPC described the arrival of the irrigation pumps as a significant milestone in the efforts to revive the moribund pumping station and that the installation will commence immediately.
