Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, Prof Obiora Okonkwo and other prominent personalities are expected to grace the 2022 Symposium of the Correspondents Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Anambra State Council.
The chairman, Symposium Organising Committee, David-Chyddy Eleke who dropped the hint on Monday, said the Symposium, an annual event of the Chapel is slated for Thursday, November 24, 2022 by 10am at the NUJ Press Centre, Behind Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Building, Awka.
He assured that all arrangements have been put in place for a successful hitch-free event.
He said, “The Symposium with the Theme “The Role of the Media in Guaranteeing the Sanctity of the Electoral Process in Nigeria” features a lead paper presentation on theme to be delivered by prominent politician, businessman and philanthropist, Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, Chairman, United Nigeria Airlines.
“Another lecture on the sub theme of the symposium “The Imperative of Traditional Media in Marketing State Policies: Anambra State as a Case Study will also be delivered by the State Commissioner for Information, Sir Paul Nwosu.”
Chairman, Correspondents Chapel, Chief Chuks Ilozue disclosed that the event would be chaired by Nigeria’s first female Professor of Mass Communication, Prof. Stella Okunna, while another great journalism scholar now a Royal Father, Igwe (Prof) Onuora Nwuneli would serve as Royal Father of the Day.
He promised an enriching outing that would reshape the public thinking positively as Nigeria inches towards the 2023 general elections.
