Anambra Female Doctor Emerges Best in West Africa Surgery Examination

A medical doctor in Anambra State, Dr. Prudence Chukwubundo Chuma-Udeh has emerged overall best in Primary Examination in Surgery for medical doctors in West Africa.

In a statement by the Public Relations Officer, Ministry of Education, Nnaemeka Egwuonwu said the examination was written by 5000 Medical Doctors in West Africa.

The statement said Chuma-Udeh, a staff of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching hospital, Amaku, beat other 39 candidates who passed the exam.

Left is Dr. Prudence Chukwubundo Chuma-Udeh in a joyful mood with her twin sister, Chukwudiogo who took and passed her own primaries in Gynaecology last year. She is also of the Chukwuemeka ODUMEGWU OJUKWU UNIVERSITY Teaching Hospital Amaku Awka.

The statement reads, “Out of 5000 Medical Doctors in West Africa who wrote their Primary Examination in Surgery, only 40 passed. 

“Topping the list is an Anambra Medical Doctor working at Amaku Teaching Hospital. She ranked highest in West Africa. She is Dr. Prudence Chukwubundo Chuma-Udeh.”
