Anambra Assembly LP Candidate, Okafor Vows to Sponsor Four Legislative Bills in 7 Days

The Anambra State House of Assembly candidate under the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Obinna Okafor has pledged to sponsor four legislative bills within one week of inauguration of the Assembly if voted into power.

Okafor stated this while meeting with Wards and Local Government party executives in Oyi Local Government Area of the State where he unveiled his 5-Point Manifesto tagged, ‘K’anyiDozieOyi’.

He disclosed that the manifesto would focus on Human Capital Development, Intra-communal Conflict Resolution, Attraction of Public Infrastructures through advocacy/Deployment of Constituency Funds and Effective lawmaking. 

He said, “If you support me and I get elected as the next House of Assembly member to represent our great OYI Constituency, within one week of our inauguration, I would sponsor four Legislative Bills.

“They include Bill for Internally Generation Revenue Retention and Bill for the Establishment of Vocational and Skill Acquisition Centres in all Local Government Areas of Anambra State.

“Others are Bill for the Establishment of State and Local Government Road Maintenance Agency as well as Bill for the Establishment of a workable Community Development and Peace Commission by Anambra State Government. 

“I have already convinced a lot of Ndi Oyi that are in PDP, APC, APGA, other political parties and even nonpartisan individuals to join Labour Party so as to fortify the party for unparalleled victory in the 2023 general elections.

“These categories of persons, which will be unveiled to the people very soon, will form the major stakeholders of my train.”

Responding, Local Government Party Chairman, Chief Benji Okoye was full of praises to the legislature hopeful.

He tasked members of the party to carry the message to their various wards/towns to ensure victory for all party candidates.

Also reacting, Ebo MacLouis, Esq, described Okafor as “Moses sent by God to Oyi people”, after listening to his well articulated manifesto.
