The Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB), has declared that there would not be sit-at-home exercise on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 the same day its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s case against the Federal Government at Umuahia High court, Abia State, over his extra ordinary rendition from Kenya to Nigeria comes up for hearing.

IPOB’s National Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, made the declaration on Sunday, even as he recalled that IPOB made it clear that any day Kanu will be arraigned in court that there will be sit-at-home exercise in Southeast zone in solidarity.

He said that, “Nigeria Government must provide evidence to the world on how and why they kidnapped and renditioned our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, to Nigeria, at Umuahia High Court.

According to Powerful, because Kanu will not be physically present in the court, there will not be any sit-at-home exercise on Tuesday, 4th October, 2022, even as he urged the public to ignore those saying that there will be sit-at-home exercise.

“We want every Biafran both home and in diaspora to ignore such rumours, and anybody who is responsible for peddling this kind of falsehood should stop it immediately. IPOB leadership has not authorized such popurted order”, he warned.

“IPOB is watching those with such mindsets who suffer our people. They will regret their actions soon. Anybody who contributes to the death of our people will pay dearly whether he or she is security personnel, civilian, religious leader, man, woman, including the politicians who contribute in small or big measure to ensure that our people incure human, and material losses. They will all pay dearly,” he warned further.”
