The Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, has appealed to Fegge residents to be watchful and mindful of those seeking for their votes in the 2023 election, charging them to vote those who are ready to work.
Dr. Ibezim made this call on Sunday, October 2, 2022 during a Mass, officiated by Rev. Father Anayo Umeh, at Immaculate Heart Parish, Fegge Onitsha, in which Rt Hon Edward Ibuzo, flagged off his Onitsha North and South Federal Constituency campaign for the 2023 General Election.
Speaking, Mr. Deputy Governor, reminded the congregation that the Governor, Prof. Soludo alongside himself were employed to work for Ndi Anambra, saying that, “that is what we are doing now.” He further asked them to vote wisely like they did in 2021 gubernatorial election in the state.
He declared that some of the roads in Fegge community will be constructed by the Governor, adding thus” I deliberately asked my convoy to take the bad roads we took to this church, when I was told the roads are dilapidated, I therefore asked them to take the roads so I can see the dilapidation first hand, I will notify the governor about the bad state of fegge roads as soon as we get back to Awka.”
On his own part, RT. Hon. Edward Ibuzo, representing Onitsha North II in Anambra State House of Assembly, and APGA standard bearer for Onitsha North and South Federal Constituency, insisted that, time for money politics is gone in Nigeria, declaring in the popular parlance, “We no dey give shishi” while noting that “instead of giving you money, we will use your money to work for you.”
He assured them of quality representation if voted to represent them at the Green Chambers, during the coming 2023 general election.
Also present in the Mass were the Commissioner for Special Duties, Bar Ezeokenwa Sly Jr , MD/CEO, ASWAMA, Chief Mike Ifeanyi Ozoemena, Deputy Chief of Staff, to the Governor (office of the Deputy Governor) Ugochukwu Obiefuna , Deputy Chief Protocol to the Governor, (Office of the Deputy Governor) Hon Emmanuel Obieze , among other top government functionaries.
