Umeh Advocates Active Youth Participation in 2023 Elections, Drums Support for Obi

The Labour Party Candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Dr Victor Umeh has charged Nigerian youths to be at the forefront of the 2023 general election to take back their future.

Ohamadike Ndigbo, as Umeh is fondly called, made the remarks while addressing members of the Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria (CYON), Awka Diocese celebrating the 2022 World Youth Day at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church Adazi-Nnukwu.

Umeh in his speech expressed the goodwill of the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi for the Youth and the clergy as well as for the entire congregation. He urged them to eschew every immoral acts and social vices that puts the youth in the bad light.

On the political front, Umeh charged the youths to be active participants in the 2023 General Elections in order to elect only credible leaders and representatives.

He further stressed that Mr Peter Obi being a friend of the Youth has put the welfare of the Youth as top of his agenda therefore, urged them to unanimously and actively support the Labour Party for a better Nigeria and a better Anambra Central as well as for the good of the Church.

The Youths on their part thanked Senator Victor Umeh for his magnanimity and selfless commitments to the Church especially in support of the youth. They assured him of the youth’s unflinching support and solidarity for Mr Peter Obi’s presidential aspiration and for the Labour Party in the 2023 Elections.

Speaking through their Diocesan President, Comrade Chizoba Augustine Ubosi, they emphasized Senator Victor Umeh’s exceptional participation in the #8th Senate and his consistent support for good governance describing him as tenacious, compassionate and humble. They assured him that as a Diocesan Patron of the Youth, the Catholic Youths will rally round him to achieve a resounding victory on February 25, 2023.

The event which started with a Holy Mass presided by the Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor also had series of outdoor activities which include match-pass parade, installation of patrons and patronesses, cathedraticum and assorted entertainments.
