Philanthropist Donates Newly Constructed Police Station in Anambra Community

A philanthropist, Chief Austin Oguejifor has donated a Police station to the Anambra State Police Command for Police station/base at Nkwelle Ezunaka in Oyi Local Government Area of the state.

The donor, Executive Director of Rotech Energy Service Limited said the decision to build the police base was in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo vision of tackling insecurity and fulfilling his promise made when police facilities were being razed in parts of the state.

“This edifice is in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo vision of tackling insecurity and fulfilling the promise I made to the Nigerian Police Force when police facilities were being razed in parts of the state,” he said.

Receiving the building, Commissioner of Police, CP Echeng Echeng reaffirmed the Command’s commitment in enhancing peace and safety in the State.

The CP, who spoke through Deputy Commissioner of Police in-charge of Operations, DCP Aderemi Adeoye, described the edifice as step in the right direction as well as progressive endeavor to enhance the safety for the residents in the area.

He said, “This donation is a progressive endeavor to enhance the safety for the residents especially nearby areas, like Anambra International Passenger and Cargo Airport, expressway, tollgate, abattoir, among others.

“It is also  timely because it will assist the Command immensely in the effective policing especially as it concerns quick response to distress calls in the area.”

Oguejifor was accompanied by friends during the event while CSP Odum, SP Oyila, SP Ozoemma and other senior officers graced the occasion.
