Right Activist Calls for Judicial Probe into Killing of 14 Wedding Guests in Imo

A human rights activist and founder of the New Heaven Estate, Nkwelle Ezunaka in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State, Sir Silas Ikeh has berated Imo state Governor, Hope Uzodimma over his recent comment on the killing of about 14 youths by security operatives suspected to be members of the state security outfit, Ebubeagu.
Ikeh said the governor’s comment portrayed him as somebody who is insensitive to the lives of the slain youths and their families, insisting he should apologize to them for his rash reaction.
Addressing newsmen at his residence in New Haven estate Nkwelle Ezunaka you LGA, Ikeh, a Community leader tasked Uzodimma not to waste time in setting up a judicial investigative inquiry to ascertain the truth with a view of apprehending the perpetrators, trying and punishing them as well as compensating families that lost their loved ones.
On present situation in PDP and APC Muslim Muslim presidential ticket, Ikeh, a human rights activist blamed the PDP leadership and Atiku, the party presidential candidate as being responsible for the current turmoil bedevilling the party as the leadership failed to recognize the strength of Gov. Wike who courageously had worked to endear himself to majority of the members of the party.
“The leadership of the party underestimated Gov Wike by changing the goal post in the midst of the game and selling the soul of the party to Atiku,” he said.
Reacting on the APC Muslim Muslim presidential ticket, Ikeh described it as a divine sign to show that God don’t want the party to continue.
“By the ticket, the party has succeeded in alienating itself from Nigerians which means that already they have lost the election as they recognized only one section of the divide.
Ikeh described the performance of the state Gov. Chukwuma Soludo so far as encouraging as he is trying to stamp his feet on the ground, just as he praised him on his performance on the area of maintenance of security, market development, transportation, pailiatives on roads, healthcare, among others.
Ikeh who said he had implicit confidence that Soludo would surpass all the achievements of his predecessors, enjoined the people of the state to cooperate with him by giving his government maximum support.
