Commending a noble act.

If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader

  • John Quincy Adams.

Ideal successful individuals build and empower people. They don’t just give people fish; they teach them how to catch fish; they invest in Human Beings – to make our society better.

I dedicate my writing today to Dr Leo Stan Ekeh, OFR, FNCS, Chairman, Zinox Group and Konga, for his humanitarian initiative at Imo Wealth Project.
The Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation, LSEF is impacting lives.

For three days at Imo State University, Owerri, Final Year Students, Small Business Owners, the Employed, and Unemployed, gathered to build capability in a three-day onboarding training – to prepare participants to be part of the fully equipped Finishing Schools at four participating Institutions: Imo State University, Owerri, Federal University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Umuagwo, Federal Poly, Nekede, and Alvan Ikoku College of Education, Owerri, Imo State.
The Finishing School at Imo State University is fully equipped by the foundation to take off.

The Selling Champion Consulting Ltd, is one of the consulting companies the foundation engaged … to train participants on Entrepreneurship … at the three-day onboarding training. Participants gave amazing feedback after the event that ended yesterday, July 1, 2022.

After the onboarding training, the next stage is to enroll in the Finishing School which will prepare three categories of people.
The categories are:

  1. ICT: This category will be equipped on the world of ICT.
After each session of the Finishing School, the foundation will attract the certifications of top Tech companies like: Microsoft, Facebook, and Zinox. Successful participants will get these topnotch IT certifications at No Cost!
  2. Job Seekers: At the Finishing School, participants in this category will learn how to be employable. The problem is not necessarily unemployment; the challenge is Skill Gap! Recruiters often complain that many graduates are unemployable! The Finishing School will proffer solution to this challenge. The school will prepare employable graduates. Participants at the school will learn how to prepare for interviews, how to excel in their chosen careers, and how to become ideal professionals when employed.
The foundation will provide employement for participants in this category.
The goal of the foundation is to create over ten thousand jobs. The foundation plans to replicate the project in other geopolitical zones, after the success of Imo Wealth Project.
  3. The third group is small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. This category is grouped into two: The first set will learn various skills that will make them self employed and employers afterwards. The second category of people are small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs who will learn the art of
entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship is the solution to unemployment in Nigeria.
After the Finishing School, successful participants in this category will receive interest free loans to support or start their businesses.

Participants at the school will receive tablets and three months data, free!

The duration of the Finishing School ranges from three to six months.

Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation, LSEF, will fund the Finishing School for two years, and hand them over to the participating institutions to continue from there. The foundation will equip the Finishing Schools in the four institutions.

Leo Stan Ekeh is sponsoring this project through his personal foundation!
I love to celebrate good things!
As a Sales Professional, I sell only good products.
I must confess that I love what Leo Stan Ekeh is doing through LSEF.
I thank this noble Imo State indigene.
I thank this Son of Ala Igbo.
I thank this outstanding Nigerian. This initiative is highly commendable.

An Igbo adage says, Onye Ahala Nwanne Ya, meaning, Be your brother’s keeper.
Remembering your brother, people around you, and the society, is a true mark of humanity.

When you add value to humanity, you invest in the future. Posterity is fair to people who support human development. Posterity is fair to individuals who remember the weak. Posterity is fair to noble men and women.

I call on Nigerian successful business leaders to emulate this noble act of kindness.
Nigeria will be a better country if this type of project is replicated in all the States of the Federation.

I salute You, Dr Leo Stan Ekeh. You have done well Sir.
I pray that God will continue to bless and protect you, amen.

May God bless individuals who support the society, amen.

George O. Emetuche, CES.
