2023 Election: Anambra Widows Threaten Curse on Political Force Against Umeh, Obi Bids

Ahead of 2023 general election, the widows in Anambra State, have declared their readiness to Invoke curse on any political force that would stand on the way of Senator Victor Umeh and, Mr Peter Obi.

They declared that nothing would stop Senator Umeh, a former National Chairman of APGA from winning the Central senatorial seat come 2023.

The leader of the widows in the State , Hon Mrs Hope Nwandu, who made the disclosure on Saturday insisted that those politicians sharing N1 million to every wards in the Central were wasting their money.

According to her, anybody contesting the Senatorial seat against Umeh, who had joined Labour Party LP, would have him or herself to blame.

โ€œThose selfish people who are contesting against Umeh are just wasting their time. Where have they been, any time election comes, they start sharing money, Wrapper, rice and other things.

โ€œAfter the election, they wonโ€™t answer your calls again. But Umeh has always been there for the down trodden, whether heโ€™s holding any political office or not โ€ Nwandu said

She said one of the senatorial candidates has started giving out one million naira to each Ward in the Central senatorial zone, adding that it would be exercise in futility.

Umeh, who is the Labour Party LP senatorial Candidate in the Central, had others vying against him.

They are, Chief Kodilichukwu Okelekwe of the All Progressives Congress APC, Senator Uche Ekwunife of the Peopleโ€™s Democratic Party PDP and Hon. Dozie Nwankwo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA

Umeh, narrowly, lost the APGA ticket to Nwankwo, because of what he called a gang up against him by the leaders of the Party.

He then, got a call from Obi, whoโ€™s the Presidential candidate of LP, to realize his senatorial ambition, which the former National Chairman of APGA grabbed with both hands.

According to the leader of the widows, โ€ the mobilization from our over 3,000 members is on and anybody who thinks he or she has what it takes to win the election, should have us to contend with โ€ Nwandu said
