SOLUDO SOLUTION: AiRS, Trade & Commerce Ministry Officials Undergo Training on Digital Revenue Collection System

The management of the Anambra State Internal Revenue Service (AiRS) in conjunction with the Ministry of Trade and Commerce will on Friday undergo special training on effective utilization of newly introduced digital application for the enumeration and registration of all the markets/shops in the State.

According to a statement released by Mr Pascal.O Emeh, Media Assistant to the Revenue Chairman/Chief Executive after a strategy session held at the Training Hall, Revenue House, Awka on Thursday, the purpose of the enumeration was to checkmate the security challenges in the state and also to elicit accurate data for revenue collection.
Addressing the participants ahead of the training, the AiRS boss, Mr. Richard Nworah Madiebo urged them to see themselves as part of history.

He further revealed that this enumeration would be the first of its kind in Nigeria. He noted that the World Bank was interested in the new digital data collection project and has equally promised to adopt same strategy across the states in Nigeria as soon as Anambra State performs excellently in that regard.

“Mr. Madiebo reminded them that they are part of the history to building a livable and prosperous Anambra”, Emuh adds.
In a remark, the Senior Special Assistant to Gov. Soludo on IGR and Digital Transformation, Mr. Isaac Chimereze Okoro urged the participants to always be diligent and professional in carrying out their activities in the field, stressing that the exercise is in line with Gov Soludo’s vision of building a new Anambra. He further reminded them that indeed, the solution is here in our dear State.
