The Management Of Nnamdi Azikwe University (NAU), Awka has distanced the institution from a social media post advertising admission slots.
The reaction from the school authority follows a post made by a Meta (Facebook) user, Adaora Cagzin Igbo advertising the school’s admission slots.
Igbo had advertised five UNIZIK admission slots for sale on her social media page, disclosing that each slot was up for grabs at Four Hundred Thousand Naira (N400, 000).
In its official response to the eye-brows raising post, the UNIZIK management reiterated that admission into the school was strictly based on merit and not for sale. It warned prospective students to be wary of such unscrupulous individuals and vowed to apprehend and prosecute anyone found in admission racketeering.
“The Management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University would not hesitate to apprehend anybody found wanting and made to face the full wrath of the law”, it said.
The school also disclosed that it was yet to announce admission proceedings including post UTME for the next academic session.
